Breathwork has transformed Kristina's relationship to herself and how she views and reacts in the world. Having suffered from life-long trauma and mental illnesses, Kristina learned how to use the power of her own breath to find balance, inner peace, and safety within herself.
It's possible, but it's ok if it doesn't (especially right away)! The point of breathwork is not to "get rid of your thoughts" but to help you change your relationship to them. Your thoughts are simply trying to protect you from entering your body. When we do breathwork we are intentionally surrendering our mind, so we can access deeper wisdom in our body. It can feel scary for the mind at first because it thinks your body isn't a safe place. BUT what we get to do in this work is re-train the mind to believe that your body is, in fact, a safe place. Through consistently showing up, your body WILL eventually "take over" and you will be able to reach the inner peace and stillness you desire.
Completely! Crying is our body's natural way of releasing emotions! When we have not allowed ourselves to feel for so long, we suppress that energy in our system. So, once we finally embark on the journey of self-healing, it's normal for the body to release the stagnant energy that it's been longing to let go of. My invitation is to release any shame you may have around this, and let your body do the work. Ultimately, it's safe to feel and to release - so trust your body and let the magic unfold.
